Dr. Elizabeth Clendinning to give 2:45pm talk at TEDxWakeForestU

Dr. Elizabeth Clendinning, Assistant Professor in the Department of Music and an accomplished scholar of ethnomusicology, will be a featured speaker at the 2019 TEDxWakeForestU conference on February 23. Based on her studies of the gamelan in Bali and using live musical examples, she will discuss music-making, leadership, and building cross-cultural communities. Dr. Clendinning has traveled to Bali several times to study the art of gamelan and its global cultural impact, and she currently teaches world music at Wake Forest and is creator and director of the WFU gamelan ensemble.
