The concert premieres on Dec. 10 at 7pm and will be available through Dec. 12 at 7pm, and will also be accessible via the Wake the Arts YouTube Channel.
To create this concert during the pandemic, our string and percussion performers were recorded together while the woodwind and brass players were recorded individually under carefully followed safety precautions.
Under the direction of David Hagy, the program includes Einstein’s Dream by Cindy McTee based on quotes of Albert Einstein; the Concerto in B Minor for Four Violins by Vivaldi; and three Christmas selections including movements from The Nutcracker Suite, Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, and the particularly apt for Covid times song, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” We do hope that you will enjoy our final performance of the Fall 2020 semester!
