2021 graduates receiving awards:
- Lian “Julianne” Zhu (Music major) – Outstanding Graduate in Music Performance; continuing graduate organ studies at UNCSA
- Xingxiang “Sean” Liu (Music major) – Outstanding Graduate in Music Performance; continuing graduate vocal studies at the Manhattan School of Music
- Xiaotong “Eva” Wu (Music major) – The Robert C. Beck Prize in Psychology
- Anna Flowers (Music minor, Presidential Scholar in Music) – The 1976 Math Faculty Legacy Prize in Statistics
- Fiona Burdette (Presidential Scholar in Music) – Fulbright Award for Study/Research in Germany; The James C. O’Flaherty Award for Excellence in German and German Studies
- Claire Griffin (Presidential Scholar in Music) – Academic Excellence in Engineering
- Hannah Scanlon (Presidential Scholar in Music) – The John Y. Phillips Prize in Mathematics

- Music major Eric Ross (’22), mentored by music professor Dr. David Geary, for his project “Discordant Awe: An Investigation of the Literary Influences on the Villains’ Musical Leitmotifs in Howard Shore’s Score for The Lord of the Rings”
- Prospective music major Alice Hauser (’23), mentored by music professor Dr. Stewart Carter, for her project “In the Footsteps of Frederic Chopin, a Polish-French Composer”
