Congratulations to Alice Hauser (BA Music and Philosophy, ’23)! Alice is one of 32 Americans chosen by the Rhodes Trust to study at Oxford University in England, beginning Fall of 2023.

Alice has worked on behalf of asylum seekers in the local Winston-Salem community and through her work with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and legal organizations including Lawyers Without Borders. She plans to pursue a Master in Science in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies and a Master of Philosophy in Law, with the ultimate goal of promoting justice for populations in need.

She is a member of Wake Forest’s Student Association for the Advancement of Refugees, a Leadership and Character Ambassador and Principled Pluralism Fellow at Wake Forest. As a recipient of Wake Forest’s Richter Scholarship, this past summer Alice traveled to Germany, Austria and Switzerland to research the life and works of Johannes Brahmas.
