Oboe

Dr. Anna Lampidis is principal oboe of the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle and Salisbury Symphony Orchestra and also holds positions of oboe and English horn with the Greensboro Symphony. Her playing has been described as “impeccable”, “lovely” and “outstanding” in concert reviews by Classical Voice North Carolina.

Dr. Lampidis serves on the music faculties of UNC- Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University, Salem College and East Carolina University. Her degrees include a BM from University of Miami, MM from Yale University, where she was recipient of the Lucy G. Moses Fellowship and a DMA from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her playing can be heard on Albany, VoChor, Crescent Moon and Centaur labels. She is a member of the Carolina Wind Quintet and is a founding member of Elektra Winds. She currently resides in Greensboro, North Carolina and remains a sought-after private teacher, clinician and free-lance oboist.
